My name is Margaret Kang, and I graduated from the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. I was immersed in the allopathic (Western/modern) medicine world for 20 years but happily and serendipitously discovered Ayurveda in 2019. I was initially skeptical of non-Western modalities, but after experiencing it successfully managing my asthma, I realized how potent natural medicine could be and appreciated the holistic approach that Ayurveda took to address the root cause of disease and imbalances. I also discovered that Veterinary Ayurveda (Pashu Ayurveda) had existed for several thousand years, and I was so excited about the possibilities of incorporating Ayurveda into veterinary care! I returned to school to become an Ayurvedic Health Educator at the Southern California University of Health Sciences in 2021 and graduated from the Ayurvedic Practitioner program at The Ayurvedic Institute with Dr. Vasant Lad in 2024.
In my spare time, chances are that you'll find me either in an Iyengar yoga studio, traveling or reading. :)
